Fungi & Mycotoxins is the official journal of the Romanian Society of Medical Mycology and Mycotoxicology (RSMMM), published twice yearly. Manuscripts that present reviews or results of original basic and applied research in all fields of medical, veterinary and environmental mycology and mycotoxicology may be submitted. All papers will be analyzed by members of the Scientific Committee.
Copyright. All authors must sign the copyright form (which can be found in PDF format on the site http://www.journal.fungi.ro) through they transfer the publication rights to RSMMM. Authors may use the article elsewhere after publication without prior permission from RSMMM but the journal Fungi & Mycotoxins as the original source will be cited.
Types of Manuscripts.
- Editorial – must contained 1500 words maximum, up to 15 references, 2-6 keywords, and an unstructured abstract of less 100 words.
- Review – must contained no more 10000 words, comprehensive references, 5-10 keywords, and an unstructured abstract of less 250 words.
- Original paper – must contained no more 5000 words, comprehensive references, 5-10 keywords, and a structured abstract of less 250 words (aim, materials and methods, results, discussion) . The full-text must be structured as follows: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments.
- Case Report – must contained no more 3000 words, comprehensive references, up to 5 keywords, and an unstructured abstract of less 250 words. Such a paper may be submitted only if contains original contributions to the understanding of an etiologic agent, clinical feature and/or treatment. The text must consist in: Introduction, Case Report and Discussion.
- Short Communication – must contained no more 2500 words, comprehensive references, 5-10 keywords, and un unstructured abstract of less 250 words. Such a paper offers the opportunity to present preliminary results of various studies or brief observations. The text of manuscript should be structured as that of an original paper.

Preparation of manuscripts for submission
- Manuscripts must be written in English or Romanian, as Word for Windows (PC, not MAC) files, with English (U.S.) spelling. Poor English will delay the processing of your submission.
- All papers must be prepared in Times New Roman, 12 pt font with 0.8 inches (2cm) margins all around and single spaced.
- 1st page will display the title, the name(s) and affiliations of author(s), full postal address, phone, fax and email address for the corresponding author.
- 2nd page will display the abstract and the keywords in English.
- 3rd page will display the abstract and the keywords in Romanian; NOTE: the authors from other countries than Romania will send the abstract only in English.
- Next pages will display the text.
- For References, the Vancouver style will be used. In text, references should be cited within brackets, before punctuation marks e.g. (1, 2). The references which have five or more than
five authors should be cited by the names of the first three authors, with the remaining authors included by et al. Correct examples for different types of references:

- Conference proceedings
Author AB et al. Paper title. In: Proceedings Title; place; date. Place: publisher or journal supplement; year: pages (the number of abstract should replace the page number).
- The binomial name of species must be written using the Italic font, in full on first mention, and should be abbreviated on subsequent mentions.
- In text, only generic names of drugs should be used; optionally, the trade names may be mentioned in round brackets.
- Tables and graphics must be numbered according to their sequence in the text. Each item will be sent on a separate sheet; no table or graphic inside the body of the text will be accepted.
- Figures. All images must be in JPEG format, either in color or gray scale, and submitted in a separated file. The required resolution for the scanned images must be no less of 500 dpi.

- Reprints. Corresponding authors will receive the final version of their paper in PDF format before the publishing date.
